Longzhong Quartz Sand Ultrasonic Scrubbing Experiment Report

The Longzhong ultrasonic scrubbing experiment mainly studies the effect comparison of ultrasonic scrubbing machines on quartz sand samples before and after scrubbing and concludes. Quartz sand is a hard, wear-resistant, chemically stable silicate mineral. Its main mineral component is SiO2. Quartz resources are widely used in various industries. However, impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium in quartz sand will hurt product quality, and it needs to be scrubbed to achieve ideal usage requirements.

Experimental procedures

1. Take about 100 ml of sample and put it into a beaker.

2. Add clean water to the beaker. The total volume of the solution is about 300ml.

3. Place the beaker and the sample under the ultrasonic bar, turn on the ultrasonic wave, and clean for 120 seconds.

4. Filter out the water from the washed samples.

5. Dry the cleaned samples.

6. Compare the dried samples with the unwashed samples for color and cleanliness.

7. Pack 100g of each cleaned and uncleaned sample separately for professional ingredient testing.

Experimental Results

1. By comparison, the samples after ultrasonic cleaning are whiter and have cleaner particles than before.

2. Comparing components after inspection revealed that the proportion of aluminum, iron, potassium, sodium, and other elements in the samples decreased after ultrasonic cleaning, while the proportion of silicon increased.

Experimental conclusion

Ultrasonic cleaning can reduce elements such as aluminum, iron, potassium, and sodium in the material and increase the proportion of silicon in quartz sand, with significant results.
