What Are The Effects Of Material Properties On The Screening Efficiency Of Banana Screen?

Material properties are an important factor affecting the screening effect of the banana screen. The material type affects the screening rate of the banana screen, the loose density affects the processing capacity of the banana screen, and the moisture content affects the screening efficiency of the banana screen.

The influence of material properties on the banana screen

1. Material type affects the screening rate

Materials can be divided into brittle and sticky materials. In the process of banana screening, sticky materials are easy to form dense adhesion, blocking the screen and reducing the screening rate. However, this is not the case with brittle materials, and the process efficiency can be guaranteed.

The particle shape of the material will affect the material’s screening rate. If the material particles are round, it is easier to pass through square holes and round holes. Most crushed products are polygonal, and it is not as easy to pass through square holes and round holes as through rectangular holes. Strip, plate, and sheet materials are difficult to pass through square holes and round holes, but easier to pass through rectangular holes.

2. Material density affects processing capacity

The material particles are layered and screened according to their volume. The bulk material with a large loose density is easy to screen and has a high screening efficiency; on the contrary, the material with a small loose density and the powder material are not easy to screen and have a low screening efficiency.

3. Material particle size affects the screening rate

The important factor affecting the screening rate is the relative size of the material particle size and the size of the sieve hole. The smaller the relative particle size, the higher the probability of screening. Therefore, materials with a relative particle size of 0.7-1 are usually called difficult-to-screen materials or critical materials. The greater the content of difficult-to-screen materials in the material, the smaller the probability of passing through the screen, and the lower the screening efficiency; conversely, the higher the screening efficiency. In order to obtain higher screening efficiency, the content of difficult-to-screen materials in the aggregate should be reduced as much as possible.

4. The moisture content of the material affects the screening efficiency

When the moisture content of the material reaches a certain range, the screening efficiency drops sharply. This range depends on the material properties and the size of the sieve holes. When the moisture content of the material exceeds this range, the activity of the particles increases again, and the viscosity of the material disappears. At this time, the moisture has the effect of promoting the material to pass through the sieve holes and gradually reaches the conditions for wet screening.
