What is The Features of Mechanism Sand Compare With The Natural Sand?

With the gradual reduction of natural sand, the market for mechanism sand has shown great potential and vitality. Especially in recent years, the huge demand in the construction market has promoted the rapid development of the sand and gravel market. Then, compared with river sand, sea sand, mountain sand and other natural sands, what are the advantages of machine sand? What are the characteristics?

crushed sand

1. Exterior

Mechanism sand is the sand and gravel material obtained after crushing by professional sand making equipment such as a crusher. Compared with natural sand, it has the characteristics of sharp edges and corners, many needles and rough.

River sand is dug directly from the river and is mixed with pebbles and fine sand. These pebbles have been washed by the river for a long time, and the edges and corners are relatively round.

2. Robustness and durability

The solid performance of machine-made sand is slightly worse than that of river sand, but it still meets the superior product index of GB / T141684293 standard. There is no problem in the use of ordinary concrete. However, in concrete components that are often subjected to frictional impact, in addition to admixtures, the lime-sand ratio of the concrete, the crushing index of sand, and the stone powder content should be controlled.

3. Stone powder content

Large powder content is an important feature of machine sand different from natural river sand. In the distinction, we should distinguish the powder content of machine sand from the mud content of natural sand.

The mud content of natural sand means that the particle size is less than 0.075mm, and it is composed of sticky clay. The plasticity index is large, and it has no connection effect with the crystalline stone after cement hydration. Therefore, the mud content of natural sand directly affects the composition of concrete strength. But it can be solved by sand washing machine.

The powder content of machine-made sand is fine rock powder less than 0.075mm. It cannot react with cement hydration, but it can have a good relationship with cement crystal stone, and it has a micro-aggregate filling effect in the internal layout.

In fact, if the powder content of the machined sand does not exceed 20%, it will not adversely affect the setting time and strength development of the concrete, and it will also have advantages in terms of workability, pumpability, and strength of adding concrete mixture Better performance.

4. Adhesiveness and compression resistance

The granularity of machine-made sand is irregular. When using structural bonding such as cement, it often has better adhesion, more compression resistance and longer service life.

5. Composition structure

Artificial sand is generally artificially selected raw materials. The material is uniform and stable. The mineral composition and chemical composition are consistent with the raw materials. It is not as complicated as natural sand.

6. Fineness modulus

General natural sand, a kind of fineness modulus, can have multiple gradations. The fineness modulus of machine sand can be controlled artificially through the production process, and the production is organized according to user requirements. This is not possible with natural sand.
